PROTECT YOUR IDENTITY
ALLMOVE Mobile Shredding & Crosstown Civic Credit Union Present
Free Personal Shred Day
For Immediate Release
WINNIPEG - Protect yourself from identity theft. Get your personal papers - tax returns, bills, receipts - shredded on site at Crosstown Civic Credit Union, 1200 Henderson Highway, 1250 Portage Avenue, 1536 Regent Ave. W and 2800 Pembina Hwy at Free Personal Shred Day on Saturday, May 01, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
ALLMOVE Mobile Shredding and Crosstown Civic Credit Union will have state-of-the-art mobile shedding trucks at all 4 locations to safely dispose of those personal papers.
Identity theft has become one of the fastest growing crimes in Canada, resulting in millions of dollars in losses. The government of Canada recommends following several steps to minimize your risk, including shredding paperwork you no longer need, such as bank machine receipts, receipts from electronic and credit card purchases, utility bills, and any document that contains personal and financial information.
Free Personal Shred day is a fundraising event for Osborne House. There is no cost to have your documents shredded; however any donations for Osborne House are greatly appreciated.
